Why Koodu
A short note on the studio name, and the kind of practice it asks us to be.
Placeholder note. This is a seed post. Tharun and Arjun will replace the body. Keep the frontmatter so the post slots into the index automatically.
Koodu - Tamil for nest - is a small, ordinary word in the language. It also happens to be a precise description of what we want this studio to be: a place where ideas are imagined, nurtured, given form, and then released into the world.
The name carries a working theory of practice. A nest is built deliberately, of materials gathered with intention. It holds something fragile while it grows. And then, when the work is ready, the nest empties.
We will write more about this - about the practice, the projects, and the people we are building it with. For now, the name is the brief.
